I'm really surprised at the amount of views I've received since starting this blog. Even though I have updated it only a handful of times, it receives over 50 views a day. I have also received several emails from people I know and some I dont, asking me to write about certain subjects.
Therefore, I have decided that every week I'll answer a couple of questions...I've been asked about "what the food is like in Afghanistan", "how often we get to call home", and "was basic training was scary". If you would like me to answer a question, submit it to christophernmonroe@gmail.com and I will answer it. I'll answer every question personally, and post a few of them on here.
1st question ever asked...
Q: "Do you get to wear regular clothes over there?"
A: No. Although I am currently wearing my Detroit Red Wings hat while I'm in the privacy of my squad's tent, when I am outside of here I must wear an Army issued uniform. We have 2 basic versions of uniform here--Multicam Combat Uniform and Physical Training Uniform (shorts and tshirt). In all there are 70 different uniform combinations available to me on any given day. I will post more about this during the upcoming week.
Until next time...
Chris
